It's Good Friday, and to honor the occasion, about 100 people of faith carried a ten foot wooden cross through Hyde Park Friday morning.
The walk began at Regina Coeli Catholic Church and ending at the Reformed Dutch Church of Hyde Park. Hyde Park Methodist and St. James Episcopal were also stops along the route.
Reverend Wayne Olson told the Poughkeepsie Journal:
This day is one of the most important of the Christian year because it’s when Christ made the final payment for all of our sins.
