Standing front and center is Jake Marshall from Poughkeepsie, who rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange on November 13th 1998. Jake is alive and well today thanks to the miraculous work St. Jude Children's Research Hospital does everyday.

This weekend, our sister station WRWD is celebrating thir 23rd annual Country Cares Radiothon with the hopes of eliminating life threatening illnesses faced by thousands of children in the US.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, the most common form of childhood leukemia had a mere survival rate of only 4%. Thanks to the vision of Danny Thomas and your donations - the survival rate now stands at 95%!
