Longtime ABC News correspondent Sam Donaldson was a little tipsy behind the wheel on the night of December 1st.

Although it happened earlier this month, details just emerged. Police pulled the 78 year old anchor over after he swerved onto the shoulder of a street in Lewes, Deleware. The officer smelled alcohol and performed a sobriety test, which Donaldson failed.

He was released to an adult and was said to be cooperative the entire time. Donaldson lives in Virginia, but will have to return to Deleware for his court date.
