An independent movie based on the Salem Witch Trials is being filmed in Kingston, and a familiar face was in the area over the weekend. 

Kal Penn of the Harold and Kumar series, House, and a speaker at the Democratic National Convention stopped into Joe Beez Deli for a bite on Saturday. Owner Joe Baganz said:

Kal had a sandwich on Saturday. He came back on Sunday and hung out and talked to whoever was here. 

Baganz noted that Penn even tweeted about how great the deli was. 

The movie, called 'The Sisterhood of Night', will finish filming this week and will be released sometime next  year.
